Plants of the Year...and More to Select From!
With so many new and wonderful plants on the market, we decided
to offer a large selection for pre-order. Our "Plants of the
Year" are Clematis ‘Duchess of Edinburgh’, Clematis ‘Florida
Sieboldii’, The McCartney Rose, The Double Knock Out Rose and
Enkianthus ‘Summer Hill’ as well as nine other interesting perennials.
These exciting plants are limited in availability and orders
are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please come and
pick up your plants from Wednesday April 23 through Friday,
April 25, between 10am and 4pm at the Horticulture Building.
Any plants not picked up at this time will be considered donations
and sold at the May Gardeners Market. For detailed descriptions

that green monster and other fantasy
topiary sculptures both here and abroad (Lucy
Day’s famous Greenwich lions are a pair of his
creations). Hear him discuss the tradition of
plant manipulation as it relates to topiary and
hedge work along with the fundamentals of
this magical “green” art.

Many of your favorite vendors will be back to sell their specialty
plants, shrubs, orchids, garden accessories, crafts and birdhouses.
New this year, a limited number of on-site parking spaces will
be available at the GEC as well as shuttle service from the
Bible Street playing field. Think Spring and see you at the Garden Education Center!

Join us for our annual children's party in the Montgomery Pinetum.
The Children will be enchanted by the Carribean Eagles playing
thier steel drums, Animal Embassy giving a hands on live presentation
about animals, a catered picnic and readings from James Martun,
the author of William is going Green in which William the garbage
truck learns about conservation. There will also be fairies
and fairy projects, natural projects and various other activities
to engage and delight.
