| Leaves, kitchen scraps, garden trimmings, weeds and pet waste are all garden gold when composted. Making dark, rich, crumbly compost doesn’t take much time,
effort, or space. If done correctly, composting doesn’t smell or attract unwanted guests. This class covers the basics: what the composting process is, how to do
it (even in small spaces), how to design your own bin, or where to purchase a ready-made, what materials you’ll need, how to apply the finished product to your garden & troubleshooting. |
| About the Instructor: Melissa Piechucki is an ecological horticulturist and informal science educator with the Bruce Museum. She received training at the New York Botanical Garden, Wave Hill, Columbia University and SVA. She lives in Cos Cob.
