Terrain at Styer’s is a magical place.
The focus is on their nursery and several greenhouses filled with every variety of annuals, trees, bushes, vases, terrariums and gardening tools you could ever
need. The café, where we will have lunch, is in a greenhouse filled with hanging pots, moss covered walls and rustic doors. Exploring the place is like going through
a miniature version of Longwood Gardens. The traditional atmosphere and the wide range of plants are enhanced by a sense of style from the people who brought you Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. Terrain “integrates home and garden into a living space enhanced by a connection to nature and respect for the environment and community”.
To Waterloo Gardens we go! This has been in operation for 65 years. It is one of the top ten garden centers in the country and the largest and most diverse in
the Tri-State area. Waterloo Gardens has the area’s largest selection of annuals, perennials trees, shrubs, and much more.
Russell Gardens a family owned and operated business, will have your eyes overwhelmed by the large blocks of color. We will be able to buy wholesale thanks to Kent Russell!
Our last stop is Hortulus Farm Nursery. Founded by renowned garden and landscape designer Renny Reynolds, it is a specialty nursery offering rare and unusual plants from standards, espaliers, topiaries and hard to find perennials. Please join us on this trip and be awe struck by all of the varieties of plants and their glory! Bring walking shoes, your camera and your inspiration! Don’t worry; there will be plenty of room for your purchases on the bus! |
