Join our speaker, Mike Geller, as he informs us about the challenges of our “American Family Farmers”. Mike, owner of Mike’s Organic Delivery, will give us an overview of local family farming and the impact it has on our daily lives. We will then view Kristin Canty’s film, FARMAGEDDON, The Unseen War on American Family Farms. A first-time filmmaker, Kristin is a small farm advocate and mom, whose purpose in making FARMAGEDDON was to express the disadvantages and burdens imposed upon these small farmers by current agricultural practices. Wine and cheese will be served. |
